An early start for the hour and a half journey. Ham and cheese toasties in the car for breakfast. And Starbucks. Lots of layers of clothing; undershirts, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts, sweaters, jackets.
Snowballs and snowmen.
Icicles.
Beauty.
Remnants of Autumn.
Getting wet. Getting cold feet. Complaining.
Sun. Snow.
Solitude.
Feeling free in the open whiteness. Together and free.
Blue skies.
Toboggan ride. Laughing. Shrieking.
Too much snow... a little cry.
But laughing still.
Learning a new camera technique... ttv.

Lunch at the ski slopes. Bad food. Great hot chocolate.

Watching the slopes. Wanting to ski.

Happy trip home.
Aah, snow. And family.
Blessings and magic,
Donni

Having grown up in Upstate NY (and since wisely relocated south!), I do not miss the snow ... usually. Your ics are making me a little homesick right now. :)
Looks like you had a great day. Here in the South East we have been having Spring like weather as well. Its cooling down a bit but still very nice out.

Living in Arizona I try to let my children have at least one experience of snow a year. Unfortunately, its been a few years. It looks like your family had a wonderful day!
this post brought back a lot of my own memories growing up in socal and going up to big bear and lake arrowhead. looks like you got an awesome snow fall this year! i love how this story unfolded. sounds like next time you'll be riding the lift with skis on!
These are such great photos! You've got me wanting to go skiing now. :) What a fun day!
How beautiful. What a gorgeous outing. You all look so happy and healthy. I'm glad.Don't you love the squeek and crunch of snow beneath your feet.

This looks so fun! I'm totally itching to play in the snow... maybe I'll have time tomorrow... Enjoy it while you can!
