To make a dried fruit garland, slice your fruit into thin slices. We used apples and oranges.
Make a small hole in each slice. String your fresh fruit slices in a cool dry place to dry. Our oranges and apples dried within a day.
Once your fruit slices are dried, string them along a fresh length of yarn.
And find a special place in your home to hang your harvest garland.

I made one with lemon slices during the summer for my kitchen window! They are still up, not to mention some cranberries that I made a couple years ago. :)

i have seen many garlands lately, but this may be the on for me! living on an island my leaf and pinecone resources are scarce. but, i think this might be lovely to do with my 3 year old and will make the house fragrant!
I tried to make these once before and they took so long to dry out. It is so awfully humid here. I vowed that if I did it again, I would have to use a fruit dehydrator. Yours look so beautiful.
